So you’ve wandered here to learn more about me I presume? Well, I’m Amber and I will be your host. Just so you know the basics, I’m 27 and I live in the United Kindom.

I’ve been playing games since 1997. My first console was a Nintendo 64 which was purchased as a birthday present from my parents. The console came bundled with the infamous 007 Goldeneye and Zelda: Ocarina of Time. So far I’ve managed to clock up 23 years of gaming across a whole plethora of consoles and handhelds including; PlayStation 1, Nintendo Wii, Gameboy Colour, Nintendo Gamecube, Xbox 360 and more recently a PlayStation 4 and PC.

I’m an avid collector and hold up within my game room/office you will find a large selection of gaming merchandise along with numerous special and collector’s editions of games I’ve enjoyed over the years. From Gears of War to Halo and Assassin’s Creed to Splinter Cell, I’ve got a wide variety of items all of which I enjoy looking at on a regular basis.

Where did this website idea come from?

Alongside gaming, I’ve always had a keen interest in computers and technology. Knocking the two together seemed like the right thing to do and thus this website was born and many before it. The first website I owned was ugotbeatbyagirl.com and it was probably the thing that got me heavily into writing in the first place. From there I started to write with friends on TheGameInvaders.com and Closet-Nerds.co.uk, both running for quite a while until we packed things up and moved on.

In between writing and owning my own fan-based sites, I did write for some more semi-professional sites; Ready-Up and Push Start. Now I run and write solely for Amber Plays Games, meaning that I can write whatever I want, whenever I want and in the style I like. Here you’ll be able to find previews, reviews and weekly run-down of games I’ve been trophy hunting in.

Stick around

If you like the content on this site, please make sure that you follow me on any of my social sites in order to keep updated and help me reach more readers. This site really only started as a place to jot down my thoughts, somewhat like a diary, but I’ve found along the way that many people like to read of my ‘adventures’. If you stick along the for the ride – thank you!
