From time to time, I like to post lists on Twitter which allow me to delve into my collection of games and pick out either my favourite all-timers or those that were hyped for nothing. This year I’m doing something a little different – an A to Z rundown of those games that may or may not be forever stuck in my backlog. Truth be told, I’m making this list to see how many of these games I can actually play and complete before the end of 2018. Wish me luck!
The Letter A Stands For…
Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate
As a fan of the Creed series, it’s hard to pinpoint why I haven’t at least taken this game out of the wrapper. Maybe it’s series burnout or maybe it’s just I don’t have enough time on my hands (I have a crazy amount of games in my backlog to play), but this one is still waiting for me. The last game in the series I have played is Unity and that was enjoyable. Having played the Ezio Collection towards the back end of last year I may get around to this entry sooner rather than later. I need my creed!
PlayStation Plus has brought me an abundance of great games over the years and Amnesia Collection is certainly one of them. Though I have briefly experienced the first Amnesia game on PC – and by briefly I mean all of 10 minutes – I’m still counting this bundle as part of my backlog. There’s something about weird creatures with large dropping mouths that drive you insane which is stopping me.
Yes, I know. A well-received game which looks fantastic and I’ve yet to jump in. Aside from countless opportunities to play this – it’s installed on my PC and I’ve had plenty of time to give it a try since purchasing it in a sale a while back – I’ve yet to take command of Amanda Ripley and run circles around that dang alien.
If you want to get on board you can tweet me your A to Z’s to @AmbaLaBamba with the hashtag #GamingBacklogAtoZ or you can leave a comment right here. I can’t wait to see what you’ve got to play!
