At its E3 conference, Nintendo revealed a new online shooter title named Splatoon which will be available in 2015 on the Wii U. This colourful multiplayer game tosses players into an area and forces them to battle in a 4v4 match, armed with only paintball guns. The game features characters who are half human and half squid, meaning that they have the ability to swim around in their own coloured paint, or ink, if they so wish to.
The aim of the game is to spray the environment with as much paint as you can, taking down enemies with you as you go. The ability to switch into squid form means you can plan counterattacks and travel around each map quickly and efficiently. Not a lot of information about Splatoon has been revealed yet, so hopefully there will be more on this delightful multiplayer title soon.
